Job Description Summary
Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools across the Finance function. Partner with Finance Leaders and Business Leaders in management roles (e.g. CFO, GM of Business Unit, or a Function) to connect strategy and process (go to GENBA). The role is responsible for the Lean Finance strategy and will work directly with the GEHC Corporate CFO and Finance Transformation leadership across all projects.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Install a Lean Finance Management System, including the Core 4 tools of: standard work, daily management system, problem solving, and action planning.
Establish a Lean Finance capability program, which ensures the application of globally recognized standards for lean principles and practices, serves as a benchmark for achievements, and provides a common roadmap for continuous improvement and people development.
Lead Finance function Kaizen actions/improvements with appropriate Finance Operational partners. Lead Hoshin Kanri improvement priorities across the Finance function.
Coach, collaborate and develop team members at all levels of the organization and across functions globally to build lean skills and become practitioners, with a focus on tools and behaviors to help progress Lean culture.
Collaborate with GEHC Lean Office, and other Lean Leaders on tool/standard alignment, creation and improvement, including training and coaching to lean leaders as well as business and cross functional teams.
Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating, and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization. Train teams in the use of Lean tools to drive significant business impact.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent required.
Minimum 10 years work experience, preferably in Finance function.
Preferred 5+ years of capability building with a variety of Lean practices including Hoshin Kanri, problem solving, daily management system, standard work, and value stream mapping.
Preferred experience in a General Management or lean/operational leadership role.
Desired Characteristics
Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a general manager’s or executive leader’s perspective.
Deep actual experience with lean principles and practices.
Excellent time and project management skills.
Technical expertise – Possess the technical skills necessary to be credible with significant practitioner experience in the Lean tools and techniques.
Demonstrated lean expertise and impact; understands and can articulate lean as an operating system, tools and culture.
Strong management skills and demonstrated capability to influence.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; strong business acumen.
Ability to effectively lead in a matrixed and virtual team environment.
