GCC Group Barbados, is a member of GCG Group Inc., which operates in twenty-one countries across Latin America, the Caribbean and USA. We are seeking to recruit a resourceful, skilled, and highly motivated individual to join the GCG Team in the capacity of Country Finance Manager in Barbados. This role offers an opportunity to support our Ground Handling, Catering, Concessions and all other GCG Group Barbados business operations. This role is open to anyone with status to work and reside in Barbados or in possession of a CSME certificate and/or is willing to relocate to Barbados, this includes the Caribbean and LATAM. The company will assist where needed.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSABILITIES include but are not limited to:
· Leading and managing the Finance Shared Services department which includes the Procurement function and Accounting.
· Coordinating the preparation and review of the monthly management reports, financial statements and non-financial KPI reports.
· Spearheading the financial and statutory reporting processes, ensuring all local statutory requirements are met.
· Coordinating the External and Internal Audit process aligned to agreed deadlines.
· Coordinating the preparation of the annual IFRS Financial Statements and disclosure notes.
· Managing the Budget and Forecasting processes by ensuring budgets are compiled based on the Zero-Based Budget (ZBB) Principle; and analyzing actual results to ensure adherence to budget throughout the year.
· Manage the pricing process and provide suggestions to the Station Manager for approval.
· Mentoring and coaching the finance team and supporting the succession plan of the organization.
ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 8 years’ work experience in a similar position,
· University degree in a related field from an accredited institution and an ACCA, CPA or any other professional accounting designation.
· Advance level user of Microsoft Office Suite and Finance Software i.e. Adagio
· Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and statutory legislation and regulations.
· Experience within the Aviation and Ground Handling industries would be an asset.
· Strong understanding and knowledge of all aspect of Finance and Accounting: Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Reconciliations, Taxation, Budgeting and Forecasting, Costing, Pricing, Management Reporting and Financial Statement Preparation.
