GAI Consultants Looking for Project Controls Associate (Accounting) at Homestead, Pennsylvania Full Time

GAI Consultants is seeking a Project Controls Associate to work out of our Homestead, PA, Orlando, FL, Jacksonville, FL, Indianapolis, IN, or Lisle, IL office but is open to being remote and connected to any GAI location. The successful candidate will coordinate accounting matters with other departments.Previous exposure to Deltek Vantagepoint would be beneficial to this role, but is not required.

Job Duties:

• Provide financial/administrative support to the Project Manager while supporting the overall development and management of the project controls environment within specific contracts and programs.
• Project set-up, performing project analysis, tracking project/task cost history, invoice reviews and reconciliation, and reconciliation of incurred cost with client records.
• Download/extract cost data from Vantage Point, prepare financial tracking reports and prepare financial summaries including current month costs, cumulative costs, projected costs, budgets, and variance.
• Maintain databases in support of the above, and support the preparation of routine and special financial tracking reports required by clients.
• Provide oversight to staff for tracking project budgets, actual costs, and budget variances on a weekly basis. Assist Project Manager in the preparation of monthly project reports and updates.
• Assist Project Manager by maintaining spreadsheets and databases, tracking expenditures, reviewing invoices, and processing contract notifications as needed.
• Maintain web-based project and contract information repositories.
• The successful candidate needs to be detail-oriented, work independently, problem solve and follow through on assignments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain working relationships with clients and co-workers.
• Will train in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Performs work under direct supervision.
• Handles basic issues andproblems, andrefers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
