Within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, the Office of the CFO practice offers solutions to manage our client’s CFO inbox for a company and help maximize its performance to position them for success to meet today’s increasing opportunities. This role will be a critical team member to help guide and execute client engagements. This role also carries business development responsibilities in addition to client work.

The ideal candidate in this role will bring deep functional expertise in Finance with combination of on-point technology experience in assessing, architecting and implementing financial & accounting systems (ERP, Expense Management System, AP Automation etc.) in a corporate or management consulting environment and supporting the client through technology driven finance transformation.

What You’ll Do

• Support engagements related to Finance & Accounting system assessments and optimization by developing technology-led transformation in the core finance processes like AP, AR, Fixed Assets etc. as well as enhancing financial reporting and analytics.
• Participate in client workshops for Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Inventory and Warehouse Management process discussions and provide leading practices as well as identify opportunities to improve them through automation
• Collaborate with multiple teams to plan, design and execute finance technology transformation initiatives and manage progress and compliance with scope
• Support team leads in developing engagement deliverables that includes documented ERP related processes, reports and solutions design
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, business functions, and system integrators to drive implementation progress including cross-module integration and reporting

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of combined finance and strategic consulting experience
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Management Information Systems, or related Business / IT discipline.

Experience should include a combination of the following:

• Finance processes and best practices for AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Account Reconciliation, Consolidations, Close Management. as well as and its supporting technology platforms.
• Architect technical solutions to business problems, such as improving visibility to working capital, detecting duplicate vendor payments or rationalize chart of accounts and define financial dimensions for enhanced financial and operational reporting capabilities is a must.
• ERP tools (NetSuite, Workday, Oracle ERP, SAP etc.), as well as edge automation platforms like Coupa, Concur, SAP Ariba, Zuora, Blackline etc.
• KPIs to support CFO’s strategic plans preferably using BI tools or by developing dashboards (Qlik, Tableau etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)
• Excellent teamwork, ethics, client-facing and interpersonal skills
• Certification in cloud ERP systems to be considered a plus.
• Experience in M&A (IT/Ops Due Diligence, Carve-out/Merger Integration planning) environment with heavy focus on planning and execution of finance systems is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 80%
• Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s).

Management Consulting skills desired:

• Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, translate business needs into requirements, develop proposed solutions, and deliver high impact change initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to support and participate in conversations at the executive level, including the ability to convey emerging trends, recommendations, and business value propositions
• Experience in helping clients improve their ability to drive business outcomes through optimized financial processes, improved KPIs, shorter close calendars, improved working capital etc.
• Strong project management skills (e.g., defining scope, setting project timelines and milestones, driving deliverables, identifying risks, and managing issues)
• Experience managing or leading individual workstream independently without much oversight as well as ability to coach and mentor junior staff.Our Benefits
