Summary
Responsible for the daily accounting function, inclusive of day-to-day A/R and A/P, monthly reconciliations, month-end closes, and reporting. This will be a part-time position and can be remote, however, some weekly meetings will be held in person and building relationships with the team is an important part of this job.
Primary and Essential Functions
Accounts receivable and sales entries
Accounts payable and bill processing management
Assistance with inventory management and performance of inventory reconciliations and cost of goods sold adjustments
Cash management and monthly cash reconciliations
Other monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Perform month-end closes and reporting
Maintain good professional relationships with partners and employees
Vendor management
Ad hoc reporting and requests from company ownership
Requirements
Minimum of 1-2 years of finance/accounting experience required
Retail accounting experience preferred, but not necessary
Ability to handle a high-volume workload with flexibility and attention to detail
Proficient knowledge of accounting principles
Proficient knowledge of Quickbooks Online
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of Shopify, inventory systems and Air Table is a preferred
Flexible and quick learner
Good decision-making and problem-solving skills, with no hesitancy to ask for help when needed
Ability to prioritize work and deadlines well, while pivoting for time-sensitive projects
Ability to work with all levels of company staff, vendors and customers.
Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skill in Excel
