Plans, studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information utilizing GAAP principles. Performs all job costing and general accounting functions at the Divisional level. Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products. Reviews and recommends changes in work-center rates and is responsible for inventory valuation and gross profit reporting.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Accountant in a Manufacturing environment. Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Excellent oral and written skills, with an emphasis on Excel knowledge.
