About The Opportunity
The AP / AR Team Leader is responsible for supporting the Financial Controller of the Shared Services business unit through the effective management of the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of one employee and two offshore resources
Review coding of invoices to ensure proper classification of expense type and department(s) to be charged to facilitate accuracy of general ledger.
Verify invoices, and expense reports ensuring that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
Manage the continued flow of invoices through our Concur invoice capture and workflow system.
Post and process all approved vendor invoices for payment twice per week
Maintains proper cut-off for entering vendor invoices to ensure recording of expenses in appropriate period.
Maintain approved vendor files
Serve as liaison with outside vendors to resolve any billing/payment discrepancies
Develop, implement, and maintain internal control procedures related to Accounts Payable
Review receivables invoices to be created, uploaded, and sent to partners with required back up
Provide annual 1099 data for filing
Provide supporting data for external audit
Reconciliation of AR Billing with Marketing team
Manage collections with offshore team
Review monthly AR Aging
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance roles
Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and be well organized
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
Prior experience in managing a small team preferred
Experience with SAP Concur preferred
