Responsibilities:
The Social Media Manager will develop and carry out an ever-evolving organic social media strategy that supports both the national Fleet Feet brand and local markets to increase brand awareness, drive expanded customer participation and engagement, as well as increase revenue across all current and future social media platforms.
This position works to improve the performance and relevancy of social media channels through continuous optimization, and is expected to grow our current and prospective audience and customer base through enhanced platform-specific strategies that align with our brand’s voice, tone and point of view. Will work closely with the digital advertising team to develop and maintain alignment between paid and organic social media strategy in order to optimize performance at every stage of the customer journey.
This role creates and deploys platform-specific executions based on brand campaigns, leads and supports social media experiences in collaboration with vendor partners and serves as the point person for Fleet Feet’s social media channels nationally.
A successful candidate will be a self-motivated leader and teammate who is able to take big picture ideas and distill them into tactical executions with attention to detail.
Develop and implement a targeted organic social media strategy that uses local channels and the power of “hyper local at scale” to drive continued brand growth, engagement, and sales in a way that aligns with company strategic priorities and brand marketing objectives
Collaborate with the art and creative team to develop engaging channel-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and other emerging channels
Research and test new platforms and opportunities, and connect with Fleet Feet stores across the country to help provide guidance and insight into challenges and opportunities
Work with the content team, digital advertising team, agency and PR partners to use influencers, creators, affiliate partnerships and other marketing opportunities to grow brand awareness and consideration among key audience segments
Create assets and guides to support local Fleet Feet accounts in a significant way
Work cross departmentally to ensure alignment across all Fleet Feet’s social media
Monitor social media performance with a focus on sharing findings, guiding strategy optimization, and articulating the reason for strategy decisions to leadership
Set goals, objectives, and relevant metrics that are aligned with the brand marketing strategy including audience development, engagement and growth goals across social platforms
Collaborate with colleagues to conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify ways to improve customer digital engagement and use data-driven evaluations and insights for regular improvement
Use our project management system to collaborate with team members on asset creation and deployment
Engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Content or related field
5 to 8 years of relevant experience
Proven social media analytics tool experience; ability to interpret online engagement metrics
Ability to handle a budget efficiently
Tremendous curiosity and the capacity to transform big-picture ideas into tactical strategies with a fine attention to detail
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
Work both independently and as a teammate who will productively engage with varying levels of seniority within the organization
Ability to build and maintain an on-brand and engaged online audience
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and Internet ranking for web content
