About the Job:
The purpose of a Dispatch Manager is to coordinate the efficient and effective day to day operation of the Dispatch Department through workforce planning, process standardization, and performance measures that enable both department and company success. The Dispatch Manager’s objective is to create, plan, communicate and execute their own department vision that will maximize technician productivity and profitability while minimizing field operating costs.
The Dispatch Manager is primarily responsible for preparing and enabling the Dispatch Team to maximize technician productive time and minimize Field operating costs. A successful Dispatch Manager will dedicate much of their time to planning, process improvement, performance monitoring, and problem solving to enable the team to deliver on the primary objective. The Dispatch Manager must also work closely with the field, and other company functional leaders, to understand and deliver the service levels required for a smooth service experience both internally and for our external consumers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the department by utilizing the organizational structure, standard processes, and company policies to ensure efficient and effective day to day operations
Creating an agile department that is ready for growth
Establish and communicate clear, time bound Key Performance Indicators for both the dispatch team and team members
Utilize data for performance metrics to measure and drive progress toward targets, and to enable coaching that fosters individual success, as well as that of the team
Work with cross functional managers and trade partners to identify improvement opportunities and implement unique solutions that align to our company vision
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven ability to lead and reduce stress in a high paced environment
Sufficient familiarity with Dispatch tools and systems, geography, and technician capabilities to facilitate training
Coaching and counseling of Team Members, as well as back fill or assist when necessary
Superior communication and Customer relations skills to ensure company meets/exceeds quality of service objectives
Ability to clearly ideate, create and present material to senior leaders
Calculated risk taker
Adaptable, open to change
Must be fluent in English
Compensation and Benefits:
$58,000 to $63,000 Salary
