Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support aspects of financial management relating to vehicle program investment including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This team member will take ownership of assignments and drive closure.
Responsibilities
Work closely across the internal organization (Primary: Purchasing and Engineering; Secondary: Program Management, Design, IT and Quality) and with external stakeholders (Suppliers and Partners) to ensure vehicle investment and spending remains on target
Lead cost forecasting, tracking, and reporting for a vehicle program throughout the development lifecycle, primarily as it relates to Program Investment (ED&D and Tooling)
Track Engineering, Prototype, Testing, and Homologation Budget Management
Lead vehicle program-related operating expenses and capital expenditure assignments
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure quality control over financial data, transactions, and reporting
Action & audit Purchase Orders in company ERP
Maintain relevant financial controls, policies, procedures & compliance
Ad-hoc assignments as required by strategic Fisker initiatives
Experience Required
Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel to extract, analyze, and report on data, at an OEM, Automotive Supplier, or equivalent
Proven work experience on a program finance team (vehicle or other)
Proficient knowledge of production automotive vehicle programs, including development cadence, tooling, ED&D and piece cost
5+ years of finance and/or cost accounting experience
Experience with creating financial statements and budgets
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Bonus Items
Previously have delivered a vehicle program through multiple gateways
A self-starter who leads projects and brings deliverables to a close in a timely manner
Additional Requirements
Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.
Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends where needed to meet deadlines and company goals.
