FirstHealth of the Carolinas Looking for Staff Accountant at Pinehurst, North Carolina Full Time

The staff accountant performs general accounting functions including preparing general ledger entries, reconciling bank statements, reviewing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining analysis and support documents. Balance sheet reconciliations include but are not limited to cash, prepaids, miscellaneous accounts receivable, payables, and inventories. Records necessary accruals for income, expenses, and liabilities. Ensures timely and accurate monthly financial close. Must be willing to work additional time as needed, to meet monthly and yearly deadlines. Assists with external financial audit, and internal cash and inventory audits. Prepares timely, accurate and easily-understood workpapers and ad-hoc reports, as requested by management.

The ideal candidate is motivated and has an aptitude for learning and enjoys working both as part of a team and independently. They possess the ability to learn multiple software systems and seamless transition between them. Strong Excel skills are required, including constructing advanced formulas, pivots, and merging data sources. Must possess a positive attitude and willing to assist or back up other staff accountants and assist in other areas of finance, as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience.
• Experience in a healthcare facility preferred.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
