Ferguson has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst! This role will provide data driven analysis and support the Finance organization and Executive leadership throughout the organization.
Location: This role is approved for hybrid and/or remote work. The role requires minimal travel outside of periodic meetings in Newport News. Ideal candidate will be local to our headquarters location in Newport News, Virginia to easily facilitate in-person meetings and trainings.
Responsibilities:
Build in-depth analytics to challenge and support business decisions.
Understand and communicate Business trends, seasonal factors, benchmarking and correlational analysis to identify areas for performance improvement.
Develop and deliver, and refine ad hoc analysis, financial models, and business cases to support a rapidly changing business environment.
Prepare and deliver reporting to senior leadership and collaborate with departments outside of finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or pending degree) in Data Analytics, Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft O365 (especially Excel).
Microsoft Power BI experience preferred.
Strong analytical and modeling skills, and comfortable combining multiple data sources.
Effective and professional communicator comfortable presenting to all levels of leadership.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team environment of hard-working colleagues.
Effectively self-manage schedule, work location (home/office/remote) and competing priorities from multiple internal customers/projects.
