General description of a sales manager:

Fay’s Marina is looking for a fun energic person to be the Sales/Finance Manager! We sell fun and want our customers to experience the fun of boating with their sales experience. This individual will achieve sales and finance goals through planning, coordination and managing sales operations of the store. These operations include: ensuring excellent sales and customer service experience with customers, meeting and exceeding the store’s annual sales goal, coaching associates. They will supervise and implementing sales & finance plans and programs as needed. They will perform related supervisory and professional work as required. Able to travel and stay on occasions out of state at dealer meetings.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work with store associates to plan and execute meeting and exceeding the store’s annual sales.
• Leading by example, greet customers, engage them in conversation to determine their boating needs, provide product knowledge to customers and suggestively sell items and additional services that they may not have anticipated they will need.
• Actively participate in all programs and procedures that drive sales.
• Achieve excellent customer service. Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a timely and gracious manner.
• Hire, train, coach and discipline sales associates.
• Communicate, coach and train sales associates on important information about products, sales techniques, company policies and guidelines or any other important business related issues.
• Scheduling associates effectively to ensure maximum floor coverage for excellent customer service and achieving store sales.
• Ensure the store is neat, clean and organized throughout each business day.
• Work with associates to achieve a high CSI score through excellent customer service, product knowledge and follow through.
• Work hand in hand with Service Department with all trade checks and new deliveries.
• Create RO’s for new & used units.
• Get estimates and approve all charges from service department for new & used boat sales.
• Know what products are currently on sale or in promotion and have them advertised by the start date.
• Answer the telephone within three rings.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Order boats for dealership at dealer meetings.
• Able to go out on water to demo boats with customers.

Minimum Training and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 3 years of management experience, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Excellent communication skills.

Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work, weekends and summer holidays if needed.

Boating experience is a plus and preferred!!
