Fair Square Financial LLC Looking for Senior Manager, Financial Crimes at Wilmington, DE Full Time

This role will support the BSA Officer and Head of Compliance in administering all aspects of the BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance function. This role requires a deep understanding of customer behaviors and the ability to investigate and identify suspicious activity on credit card accounts. The selected individual will be expected to independently evaluate accounts/alerts and take ownership of their decisions through effective documentation and evidence. The role will be frequently exposed to senior-level persons, both internally and externally, and will need to be an effective and confident communicator. Lastly, as part of the wider Compliance Team, this role will have the opportunity to assist with other aspects of Compliance in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate potentially suspicious accounts and transactions identified by the system or ad-hoc reports.
• Research alerts in the List Screening System to determine any true matches to OFAC, PEP and other suspicious lists.
• Drive strategy and rule optimization by identifying suspicious trends in customer and transaction data.
• Collaborate with Fraud team and other risk areas on suspicious accounts and activity reports.
• Identify the need for, and create, high-quality suspicious activity reports (SARs).
• Use industry experience to assist the wider Compliance team wherever needed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as analyst or investigator of AML, Fraud or other Financial Crime types.
• 3+ years’ experience working with credit card products, customers, and accounts.
• Comfort working with various Transaction Monitoring and List Screening technologies.
• Familiar with FinCEN regulatory requirements, specifically information sharing and SAR-filing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and solve problems independently.
• Self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity and open-ended problems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• High degree of initiative with a strong drive for results.
