The opportunity
You will help our tax practice office members and clients navigate the complex world of securities taxation by overseeing the industry leading securities taxation calculation application-Securities Analysis Module (SAM).
Your Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager role will lead a dynamic, Global team with a unique group of skills to deliver on securities taxation calculations for specific clients. The responsibilities that the Senior Manager will perform include:
Lead and develop a high-performing, Global team to perform day-to-day operational responsibilities associated with running and delivering output from the Securities Analysis Module (SAM)
Coordinate and liaison with the Regulated Investment Company (RIC) and Alternative Investment tax practices to ensure timely delivery of SAM output on a predetermined schedule
Diagnose and resolve application technology issues by coordinating with the relevant technology functions
Coordinate with data ops group and continuously improve the ingestion of data into the SAM and related tax applications.
Develop optimally efficient, automatable processes that are widely understood by key stakeholders
Support client tax teams by being the central point of contact for SAM related questions and action items from the practice office
Assist in and guide the process of onboarding new clients and funds to the SAM application
Work collaboratively with adjacent Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to achieve exceptional client service delivery

To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related qualifications/ experience and approximately ten years of related work experience.
Experience in reviewing and understanding securities trading tax adjustments including but limited to wash sales, straddles, return of capital, Passive Foreign Investment Companies (PFIC).
Experience with extracting and processing large amounts of data from fund accounting systems including but not limited to Eagle Investment Accounting System, FIS Investment Accounting Manager (formerly InvestOne) and Multicurrency Horizon managing data, and extracting value from data
Experience working with multiple teams across different time zones and geographies.
Experience of building and documenting operational processes and functional specifications documents that are clear and concise.
Proven track record of meeting SLA’s and meeting customer expectations
Pro-active and effective decision-making skills. Able to present to teams/groups of people and structure key messages and communicate points of view
Manage, collaborate and adapt with various functions to deliver exceptional client service.
Ideally, you will also have
Experience in people-related initiatives, including recruiting and retaining staff
Experience in supporting continuous development of staff
An ability to adapt and learn in an innovative environment
