Premier financial institution is seeking a Project Manager to be responsible for collaborating with project sponsors and leaders and bring diverse resources together to complete organizational projects. Execute and complete projects according to timelines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also work with the project sponsors and leaders to define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Direct and manage projects and development from beginning to end in coordination with project sponsors and leaders.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents in coordination with project sponsors and leaders.
Effectively communicate project expectations to project sponsors, leaders, and participating team members in a timely manner and clear fashion.
Coordinate directly and indirectly with internal and external project teams to ensure successful completion of the project.
Coordinate with the management team on an ongoing basis.
Communicate effectively with team members, management, sub-contractors, and vendors to establish cooperative working relationships.
Coordinate with project leaders and the CFO to draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Where required, negotiate with project sponsors and leaders as well as other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the financial institution.
Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle.
Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and senior management.
Mitigate project risks and manage issues; manage project scope and change effectively.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel with the proper planning and negotiation.
Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Track project process and deliverables.
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Build, develop and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Conduct project post implementation review and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Develop and use best practices and tools for project management and execution.
Adhere to and uphold all written policies and procedures of the credit union, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security operation and personnel policies.
Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and Privacy.
Required to attend training sessions as appropriate.
Required to travel as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Understanding of internal financial institution’s operations, procedures, and business platforms.
Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in the financial industry.
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a project management capacity including all aspects of the process development and execution.
Strong familiarity with project management software and applications.
Experience with Celoxis project management software a plus not required.
Experience with utilizing Sharefile, Microsoft Teams & One Note a plus not required.
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree or five years related experience and/or training in the financial industry.
