A leading supplier of power generation products and services to the commercial, industrial, municipal, and oil & gas industries is seeking a Jr. Accountant to join their team! This role will require you to prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and accurately enter data across the organization. Jr. Accountant’s Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and annual budgets
Cross-train in the accounts payable function to ensure accurate processing of vendor invoices
Monitor financial systems to identify and recommend procedures for improvements
Work with various department personnel to ensure monthly financial results are accurate
Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
Assist in the payroll process by calculating commissions and timesheets
Jr. Accountant’s Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, and business management required
QuickBooks experience is required; moderate to advanced proficiency preferred
Salesforce experience is a plus
Must have strong technical accounting skills
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drugs screen and criminal background check
