Emerson has an opening for the position of Finance Manager for our global Measurement and Analytical business unit, which is part of Measurement Solutions. This senior level role is based in Shakopee, MN and reports to the Director of Finance position.
As a candidate, you should have a strong background in finance with a multi-national manufacturing company, with strong analytical skills and experience with reporting, accounting and intercompany relationships across a global manufacturing organization.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead intercompany financial relationships with respect to intercompany pricing, royalty and service agreements to support site, country and world area objectives for delivery of our instrumentation, service and software products.
Partner with business unit and product group leadership to provide financial management, analysis, and interpretation of financial results to achieve business unit objectives.
Coordinate global accounting policy and reporting processes, with analysis of business structures and world area reporting requirements, to produce accurate & timely financial documents.
Define and document financial system and control requirements for global systems and provide financial oversite to the design, testing and utilization of those systems.
Complete, publish and present product group management reporting, including sales, profit and asset management analysis, and direct business unit management of performance results and options for improvement.
Support budgeting and quarterly, annual and multi-year financial planning processes with reporting, analysis and guidance to achieve strategic objectives.
Support review and decision making for capital and program investment options.
May coordinate or provide work direction and training to financial staff or related functions.
Provide financial leadership, development and support to business teams
Who You Are:
You have shown financial and business process leadership, with excellent analytical and written and oral communication skills. You can transform financial information into business intelligence to support effective decision making and development of strategy. You work optimally across a multi-site, matrix environment, building consensus through information sharing and process understanding. You are comfortable with change and look for operational improvements while leading effective controls and reporting compliance.
For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree
8 years of related experience in multifaceted finance roles in large, multi-national organizations
Strong financial competence
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion Planning tools
Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
MBA
CPA and/or CFA qualification
Confirmed experience in financial reporting and analysis in a large, multi-site organization, preferably in a matrix environment
