Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager duties and responsibilities
Ellis Chevrolet Buick GMC is a family owned and operated dealership, located in the foothills of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York. The region is a mecca for summer and winter outdoor activity with world class fishing, hunting, hiking, golf, skiing and snowmobiling.
We are looking for an Experienced and Qualified Finance & Insurance Manager to join our outstanding team. Ellis Automotive is a busy dealership specializing in providing new and late model, low mileage pre-owned vehicles.
A competent Finance and Insurance Manager has a strong understanding of the financing process and additional programs available. Their main responsibility is ensuring customers get what they need to afford a vehicle and that it’s properly protected. Some specific duties include:
- Working directly with customers to explain and recommend financing options, extended warranties, aftermarket products and other options
- Finding competitive rates to encourage customers to purchase vehicles
- Processing applications for vehicle financing and helping customers get approved
- Verifying that all paperwork is completed correctly and filed properly
- Maintaining strong relationships with lending institutions to have lots of program options and competitive rates
- Seeking out new programs that benefit customers and encourage them to buy
- Ensuring compliance by following all local, state and federal regulations
- Training the sales team on available financing and programs to ensure they promote them to customers
- Ensure salespeople maintain a 100-percent turnover to the Finance & Insurance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record with a minimum 2 years F&I experience preferred
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Excellent organization and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
