Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage the sales activities of the dealership
• Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and measuring the activities of the used sales department
• Acquire and purchase vehicles for retail sale as well as wholesale activities.
• Responsible for conducting vehicle appraisals, coordinating on-site auctions, and attending various regional auctions online
• Source inventory for retail, Subprime, and BHPH
• Responsible for meeting annual and monthly objectives for used unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
• Coordinate and lead the Daily Management Inventory Acquisition Walk.
• Responsible for monthly audits
• Review market analyses and sales report to determine customer needs and volume potential
• Monitor and understand the used automotive market for trends in vehicle values
• Responsible for acquisition of inventory for used car sales department
• Connect with local and regional auctions, and dealerships to build pipeline of used vehicles.
• Responsible for strategy of vehicle acquisition within the Foundation Automotive service drive. This will include utilizing industry leading tools such as KBB Buying center or other equity mining tools as approved by Foundation Automotive.
• Responsible for meeting annual and monthly objectives for used unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.
• Maintain KPIs of volume, gross, customer experience, lead closing ratios, and F&I penetration as set by the dealership.
• Responsible to manage multiple locations for sales, display, promotion, staffing, and parking.
• Works in conjunction with General Manager and New Vehicle Director and to hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all salespeople, and manages sales staffing and training (including on the job training) in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
• Director will lead and organizing proper onboarding training for all staff. This will include proper product education, systems and controls
• Conducts sales meetings to review department plans, performance, promotions, website, social media plans, inventory adjustments, and customer experience plan.
• Responsible for weekly management meetings
• Knowledge of Prime, Subprime and Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH)
• Must maintain KPIs of volume, gross, customer experience, lead closing ratios, and F&I penetration as set by Foundation Automotive
• All inventory to be properly reconditioned, pictured, promoted, and displayed on dealership display lots and virtually on dealership website
• Knowledge of industry leading tools such as vAuto software for market based pricing
• Ability to forecast the needs of used vehicle inventory at the dealerships
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Foundation Automotive brand

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred
• A High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years of automotive sales experience
• Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards
• Supervisory experience required
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening
• Authorization to work in the USA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
