Job Title: Finance Manager/Senior Supervisor

Immediate Supervisor: Practice Administrator
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Controller, accounting, and business office functional direction for on-site employed staff and outsourced (contracted) financial support services.
General Summary: An exempt position responsible for directing accounting practices and financial planning for a busy and rapidly growing ENT Practice.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Interacts with clinic management staff in developing the financial planning component.
2. Oversees and supervises budgeting, audit, tax accounting activities for the Practice.
3. Evaluates the Practices financial position and issues regular periodic reports.
4. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
5. Assures implementation of internal controls and generally accepted accounting practices.
6. Analyses costs and expenses, identifies, and reports variances.
7. Oversees the preparation and issuance of annual tax and other reports. Prepares financial reports for physician owners.
8. Works with collaboratively with Billing staff for timely processing of payments.
9. Works with outsourced/contracted financial support services for accurate and timely billing and accounts receivables.
10. Works collaboratively with Practice leaders contributing expertise to the development and implementation of a strategic growth plan.
Education: BA in accounting or finance
Experiences: 2-5 years of experience in financial/accounting management. Experience in healthcare financial management strongly preferred.
Performance Requirements:
1. Knowledge of the principles of financial management for the development of solutions working collaboratively with clinical supervisory staff.
2. Knowledge of clinic financial and budgetary practices to develop budgets, analyze financial data and patterns and prepare financial reports in a rapidly growing Practice.
3. Knowledge of governmental and healthcare fiscal regulations and reporting requirements.
4. Evaluates and assesses impact of payer contracting. Assists and participates with negotiations.
5. Able to extract data from a variety of sources and support leadership in analysis and application.
6. Experience with developing spread sheets and presenting financial data in a concise and clear manner.
7. Prepares accurate and timely monthly financial reports for review and presentation.
8. Assesses and provides strategic financial information and analysis to assist in decision-making.
Skills:
1. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative and judgement to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
2. Skill in evaluating operations as they relate to financial policies, goals and objectives, costs and rate levels.
3. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
4. Skill in identifying and resolving accounting and financial problems.
5. Familiar with QuickBooks and other financial support IT systems
Abilities:
1. Ability to create an atmosphere that encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance.
2. Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
3. Able to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare providers and professional clinical personnel.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fac machines, copiers, printers, telephones.
Work/Environment: Position is in a well-lighted private office.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting most of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
