Position Overview
The Public Relations Manager will focus on the development of public relations strategies and ensure the implementation of a broad range of public relations activations; direct and oversee the support of Consumer Marketing and other HQ departments in the development of creative campaigns, written collateral and other writing or editing needs to maximize publicity value. All strategies and directives will focus on cross-functional collaborations and high ROI on initiatives. The Public Relations Manager will also lead and direct the PR team.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Develop and direct public relations strategy and implementation; work with and foster good relationships with agency partners:
Establish and maintain agency relationships to maximize national and paid media opportunities
Enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level, and relevant external audiences
Drive an increased understanding of Dutch Bros’ culture and products by helping team position DB leaders as experts on specific topics.
Act as a liaison between DB leadership and media
Work on proactive PR strategy for DB in conjunction with the VP of Consumer Marketing and the Corporate Communications Liaison
Prepare both internal and external spokespeople for media interviews by providing camera and media training, as well as detailed talking points, key messaging, and briefings on potential PR issues
Approve media releases and other press materials
Develop media relations strategy along with PR team, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
Manage the creation and maintenance of reports regarding local and national media coverage
Assist the crisis and/or risk teams, HQ departments or field leadership with crisis communications as needed
Assist in the development of brand awareness campaigns and initiatives with execution through both internal and external PR avenues:
Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on both a monthly and quarterly basis
Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis
Work with PR team and other Marketing leadership to develop and help execute public relations strategies and implement PR activities for Dutch Bros campaigns and
company-wide initiatives
Edit and approve all writing and editorial projects for internal and external avenues coming from the PR team
Assist with and approve the development and execution of PR materials from other DB Marketing departments
Provide strategic communications counsel to franchisees, owners/operators, and senior leadership
Research new growth areas and emerging markets regarding potential PR, communications or marketing strategies
Serve as editor for the development, production, and maintenance of internal and external communications vehicles including videos, marketing materials, newsletters, etc.
Provide public relations support as needed after hours
Collaborate with Corporate Communications and RISK team to execute media strategies for the company
Lead and mentor the PR team and own all urgent and in-depth PR needs:
Meet weekly with all PR team members and take charge on their growth, employment goals, and personal goals
Provide PR input along with crisis and strategic communications teams
Act as a liaison between assigned departments and PR, and identify situations in which there is a larger PR need
Work with team to identify and flag any potential PR issues in regards to campaigns, initiatives, etc
Own PR growth for both the employees and the department as a whole
Provide solutions to potential PR issues as well as team collaboration or execution issues.
Job Qualifications
BA/BS in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field, or 4 additional years of experience, required
Minimum of 4 years of related experience, required
Experience with crisis communications preferred
Must have ability to work collaboratively with team members and internal/external stakeholders

Compensation:
$92,487.73 – $107,218.62
