Senior Risk Associate will help direct and support the team’s quantitative processes, utilizing existing tools, help in the development of new analytical models, and support research related to public markets, private markets, and direct trading.
Work Performed
Perform and assist in quantitative and qualitative analysis on managers in respective spaces
Assist in enhancing tools for the quantitative analysis of manager selection and manager monitoring, including risk management; development of time series models (e.g., models for extreme scenarios)
Support monitoring activities of the respective public markets’ portfolios; modeling of private investment calls and distributions; broad asset allocation analysis
Assist in the management of analysts and interns
Solid econometric, statistical and mathematical skills with a focus on finance or financial economics; strong programming skills and analytical skills and financial modeling skills and ability to conduct research
Proficient with R, Python or similar programing languages
Experience and ability to manage large datasets and large amounts of information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the drafting and delivery of high-quality presentations using PowerPoint and similar tools
Ability to work independently under guidance
Ability to work effectively under pressure and tight time constraints in a team context
Familiarity with building and implementing A.I./machine learning and Bloomberg or FactSet
Proficient with R, Python or similar programing languages
Perform other related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Education/Training: Master’s degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science and/or related fields
