How you will contribute:
Advising clients on enhancing tax opportunities and managing risk associated with mergers and acquisitions
Analyzing tax risks of target companies using tax returns, accounting information, and interviews with management
Preparing and analyzing reports correlating tax diligence and tax structuring findings with client valuations
Identifying issues affecting purchase price, deal structure, or deal termination
Reading and advising clients with respect to purchasing agreements
Recommending post-acquisition actions to achieve tax efficiency and minimize tax risks
Working closely with executives, investment bankers, private equity and corporate clients, attorneys, or other stakeholders
Working alongside other FORVIS team members to exceed client expectations

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting from an accredited college/university
CPA license or admission to state bar required
JD or masters degree in taxation preferred
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in corporate or partnership tax or transaction tax (M&A tax), including at least two (2) years of tax due diligence, from a large public accounting or consulting firm
Strong current knowledge of U.S. federal income tax, mergers, and acquisitions, and transaction services
Current knowledge of state and local tax is a plus
Recent experience with corporate and pass-through tax concepts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
Pursuant to Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act: Annual Salary Target Range: is $145,000-$225,000. Please note: The noted compensation is for the Colorado market. Compensation for this role will be determined based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. This amount is not representative of an employees total compensation, which consists of, but is not limited to, salary (cash compensation), benefits, profit-sharing contributions, CPA Exam incentives, and other forms of compensation. FORVIS reserves the right to make changes to the above figure based on business needs.
