POSITION
Summary:
The Procurement Packaging Analyst, under the guidance of the Procurement Director, will support the procurement of various packaging categories across the Diversey business units in North America.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cost models to understand cost drivers and price transparency across all categories
Perform analytical activities that support the direction of the category and drives optimization across the portfolio
Develop different award optimization scenarios to minimize total cost of ownership and conduct post-implementation variance analysis
Serve as liaison between Diversey and supplier to procure favorable contracts
Review contracts ensuring compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, rebates, etc.
Provide problem solving solutions for service related issues as needed
Assist with new item set-ups within SAP as required
Review and assist with Purchase Order and/or Invoice discrepancies to resolve pricing, quantity and unit of measure issues to ensure payment within terms for all vendors (within established policies and procedures)
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or another related subject
Years of
Experience: 1
years of procurement and / or related supply chain experience, ideally Analytics or Buyer experience
Strong written and oral communication skills, decision making/problem solving and influencing
Mathematical and reasoning skills required for proper analysis of bids, inclusive of differential pricing analysis and total cost of ownership
Strong analytical skills
Proficient use with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel or other data analysis tools preferred)
PREFERRED QUALICATIONS:
SAP experience
Packaging category experiencepreferred
