shopDisney is the global direct to consumer e-commerce retailer for TWDC, connecting audiences across the globe with exclusive, high quality merchandise from Disney Parks, Disney+ and nearly 100 years of content and storytelling. We are looking for a highly strategic, self-starter to lead global development of brand and retail marketing strategy, marketing campaigns, audience growth initiatives, and customer experience strategies to maximize growth across TWDC’s vertical retail channels. This is the opportunity to drive a significant marketing evolution and brand transformation, positioning shopDisney for the future including broadening the consumer base and growing audiences to new heights. This individual will partner with the VP, shopDisney Marketing and various stakeholders including Regional and Global Commercial Leaders, Digital Marketing, Customer Experience, PR, Technology, Product Development, Creative and Analytics to set the growth strategy, assess the addressable market, define strategic priorities and manage the overall marketing transformation roadmap. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished leader and a skilled cross-functional collaborator, with experience in digital media and/or consumer oriented services. The role requires a solid foundation in financial and business analysis, and the ability to rapidly synthesize complex information and drive strategic alignment across multiple stakeholder groups. You will be expected to be an analytical, business-minded marketing leader who is capable of setting strategic priorities but who also excels at executing tactically with a keen focus towards marketing optimization, KPI setting and tracking, and opportunity assessment. The Director, shopDisney Marketing will report into the VP, shopDisney Marketing.
Responsibilities :
Drive global shopDisney.com brand development, consumer positioning and brand creative
Lead campaign and consumer strategies in partnership with Digital Marketing, PR, Creative and other partner teams driving consumer growth and revenue
Develop best in class integrated marketing plans across internal stakeholders as well as other TWDC lines of business including Disney Parks, Disney+ and Theatrical teams.
Partner with global and regional commercial leads on P+L development, needs and opportunities
Strategize 365 consumer strategies inclusive of competitive landscape, consumer research, psychographics, social and consumer trends, and TWDC content planning all with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion
Ensure an exciting an evolving digital marketing experience with a focus on storytelling with emphasis on emerging capabilities like visual commerce, live stream and event driven commerce in the owned channels, and integration with social media and third party ecommerce platforms while preserving the Disney brand uniqueness
Identify marketing and consumer opportunities, influence product and experience development and demonstrate subject matter expertise around guest demographics, specific markets, guest segments and target audiences to achieve growth goals
Lead brand and consumer development across white-space areas such as subscription and loyalty programs
Articulates and integrates deep marketing knowledge to help inform communications strategies and diagnose performance of key business areas from end to end
Must have at least 10 years of marketing experience in e-commerce, entertainment, social media or related areas of marketing expertise
