About the Role and Team:
The Business Operations team is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Resource Management organization. Our Resource Management team focuses on human-centered environments & resources. This is an ever-evolving ecosystem including everything work-space related that impacts our employees’ ability to do their best work and get the most out of our in-office work space. This position will also focus on building strong adjacencies amongst our teams and with partners within our physical footprint to continue enabling productivity, to drive collaboration, and to promote innovation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable driving upgrades to our facilities to ensure our spaces represent who we are as well as tying technology into space management. We work with leadership to drive alignment across the organization and serve as partners of choice to ensure continued strong relationships across organizational boundaries and within our team on behalf of Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology and the CTO. This team works closely with DE&E Technology leadership and business partners in Corporate Real Estate, Design & Delivery, Facilities, Move Services, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Finance, Legal, and Communications to optimize our operations.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Manager on this team, you will play a central role in determining, executing, and enabling Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology’s space management functions, engaging cross-functional teams, and driving space management efforts across the team. You have a comprehensive understanding of Real Estate / space planning best practices and terminology to pull from as you partner with various departments and drive initiatives forward internally. You are a strong leader who will up-level the organization by helping drive space planning operational strategy, effectiveness, and cohesion. You are highly experienced at solving ambiguous issues using analytical solutions, and communicating complex issues effectively. Your comfort with ambiguity and demonstrated problem-solving leadership with limited oversight allows you to quickly tease through complexity to produce structured results while remaining flexible, nimble, and adaptable to shifting demands and priorities. Manage large initiatives across a global footprint for DE&E Technology while partnering with other organizations such as:
Space modifications to hoteling or other
Construction of new locations and renovations to existing locations
Interior design and space upgrades
Decommissions of technology equipment
Oversight of large moves, including corresponding space planning, move prep, logging, tracking, move books, communications, and partnership with move services
Detailed space assessments within our allocated footprint, validations, audits, and updates
Tracking of spaces and occupancy assessments
Regular allocation updates and bi-directional flow of information with CRE and DE&E Tech Finance
Tracking of costs across pooled and non-pooled properties
Partner with HR on carry-through of regular system updates pertaining to location information
Hoteling and space planning software updates, monitoring, and data pulls for use in department space strategy and go-forward decisions by Resource Management and department leaders
Connection point with admins who are based locally across our various offices for their in-field expertise and carry-through of priorities such as conference room / equipment functionality, kitchen programs, parking, and in-office services such as copiers / shipping / telecommunications
Maintain legal, HR, and leadership points of contact in country for an understanding of various labor rules and governmental guidance as they pertain to space, occupancy, and safety
Compose and deliver status on initiatives
Manage Coordinators, Administrative Assistants, and other auxiliary resources on Space Management initiatives
Required Qualifications and Skills
At least 5 years of space planning, facilities, and/or employee experience work experience
Demonstrated track record of creating a vision, gaining buy-in to the vision, and effectively managing execution.
Ability to work well in an ambiguous and fast-changing environment and navigate a complex organizational structure.
Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
A natural problem-solver and strategic thinker.
Highly collaborative, and partner-oriented professionally.

The hiring range for this position in California is $120,900 to $166,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
