Job Description:

Responsible for conducting and documenting complex financial analysis, works on problems of diverse scope including the analysis of financial reports, trends, and opportunities. Analyzes financial data and creates financial models for decision support. Evaluates financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results versus plans and forecasts. Performs variance analysis, identifies trends, and makes recommendations for improvements. Reports on financial performance and supports recurring leadership budget reviews. Works with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Develops recommendations to achieve the organizations financial objectives. Determines financial consequences of alternative methods, plans and strategies. Performs complex data modeling and financial analysis.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and makes recommendations relating to business opportunities, investments, financial regulations, and similar financial projects or programs.
• Gathers, interprets, and evaluates financial information.
• Compares anticipated versus actual results and provides variance analysis/recommendations for improvement
• Develops recommendations to achieve the organizations financial objectives.
• Determines financial consequences of alternative methods, plans and strategies.
• Evaluates financial performance including cost or budget administration.
• Performs complex data modeling and financial analysis.
• Supports Annual/3-year financial budgeting process
• Reports on financial performance and prepares for regular leadership reviews

Expectations:

• Proven work experience as a Lead Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role
• Support complex and manual multi-system data extracts, analysis and reconciliation utilizing advanced Excel functions (Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Experience with enterprise financial management applications
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Proven ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work occasional extended hours during financial close periods as business requires
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
• Ability to respond to requests with accuracy and completeness in short timeframes

Education: Typically, a bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: Typically requires 5-7 years experience.
