Position Overview
The Finance Director is entrusted with all financial management and operation responsibilities, under the direction of the Executive Director and in coordination with the Fractional CFO, to lead and oversee various day-to-day operations that include proper procedures and processes for receipt and disbursement of funds, allocation of functional expenses, financial modeling, organizational reporting, general ledger account reconciliations, budget assistance, financial analysis, contract review and management, and other related duties as assigned. This position is remote with occasional in-person meetings occurring in the Baltimore headquarters of Digital Harbor Foundation. Due to the fiduciary responsibilities of this position, a credit check will be required.
By bringing a significant level of prior experience and developed leadership, the Finance Director will significantly increase the capacity of the Digital Harbor Foundation in response to recent expansion and anticipation of continued growth. Over the past two years, approximately 45% of Digital Harbor Foundation’s revenues are from foundation grant-making and 33% from federal government awards.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance and 8+ years of finance and accounting experience. Industry certification, such as a CPA and nonprofit financial management experience in organizations with $10 million budgets, including federal funding source management, compliance, reporting, and audits (A-133 audits).
