The Director of Finance and Accounting will manage and optimize the finance and accounting functions of Diamondback, assist the management team’s decision making, and help drive the company’s financial strategies. You will execute critical financial and accounting functions, be responsible for the company’s financial systems and financial data programs, assess the financial performance of the company, as well as identify and mitigate potential risks. This role reports to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and requires a broad knowledge of accounting, financial, FP&A and business principles and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively to guide the company toward profitability and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

• Support the business decision making process and drive the financial planning through analysis of past performance, evaluation of current financial standing, and the assessment future corporate initiatives and risks
• Prepare and analyze the information required to provide financial statements, reports, and management updates
• Develop and maintain short, medium, and long term financial plans
• Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and drive action to mitigate risks or prevent problems
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance, future forecasts and departmental budgets
• Work closely with external accountants to produce monthly and annual financial statements, develop and oversee internal control policies and processes, and ensure financial and accounting compliance
• Support a range of ad hoc analysis, including evaluation of growth and profitability
• Oversee the company’s finance IT systems and accounts and generate meaningful sales and expense reports
• Oversee the daily management of treasury and cash-flows, and manage and execute accounts payable and receivable activities
• Work with tax accountants to produce ongoing tax returns and submit quarterly/annual filings

Requirements and Skills:

• Proven experience as in finance, accounting or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, financial analysis, forecasting/budgeting, and accounting principles and best practices
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Quickbooks Online or similar)
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA or CPA is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,882.80 – $120,388.52 per year
