Design Molded Plastics Looking for Staff Accountant at Macedonia, Ohio Full Time

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to become a critical part of our Finance team in Cleveland, Ohio. Reporting to the CFO, this person will have hands-on management of all aspects of the accounting and financial reporting functions of the organization to ensure credibility by providing timely and accurate financial statements and related analyses of financial trends. S/he will be responsible for AR, cash reconciliation, AP, cash disbursements and management, inventory reconciliations, audit support, monthly financial plant close, preparation of monthly manufacturing journal entries, account reconciliations, and various other accounting statements and reports as appropriate to support monthly income, balance sheet and cash flow statements.

*Responsibilities*
* Support CFO in monthly financial plant close
* Prepare and review monthly manufacturing journal entries, income, balance sheet and cash flow statements, account reconciliations, and various other accounting statements and report as appropriate to support monthly plant close
* Post daily entries related to inventory transactions
* BOM entry and management
* Inventory variance resolution
* Prepare PBC lists for auditors including banking reviews and year end audit
* Ensure integrity and accuracy in financial reporting while providing timely, accurate, and insightful financial/business analysis and explanation to senior leadership
* Analyze manufacturing variances (price, usage, and absorption), and provide explanations management
* Continuously update and implement process improvements such as streamlining close process, standardization, internal controls, monthly reporting packages and ad hoc reporting
* Responsible for research on cost accounting and manufacturing issues and special projects as requested
* Ad hoc requests from the CFO for reporting, analysis, documentation, or organization

*Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
* 1-5 years accounting experience in a medium manufacturing company
* Extensive experience within an ERP system

* Ability to apply knowledge of GAAP and demonstrate sound logic in approach
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power Point

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
