How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Analyst will analyze accounting and process flows and make recommendations to management that will result in more efficient processes and improved accounting procedures.
Responsibilities will include:
Monthly reconciliations, journal entries and analysis as well as ensuring the integrity of account balances.
Ensure all reconciliations are prepared in conformance with the Sarbanes – Oxley Act of 2002.
Responsible for internal reporting related to the accounts payable forecast, bad debt analysis, general ledger variance analysis, and special projects.
Establish good working relationships within the Transaction Processing organization as well as across the Operating divisions of Delta.
Other duties will include the following: performing journal entries and analysis during the close process, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and internal reporting.
Practicing safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures is required.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Knowledge of Delta Finance systems such as SAP and Hyperion encouraged.
Strong financial modeling and business case development skills desired.
Candidate must have the ability to perform effectively in a detail / goal-oriented environment, with the ability to multi-task and self-motivate.
Candidate must have strong PC, planning, organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Should be proficient in identifying process improvements.
Should have the ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
Candidate should exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to provide direction and support to colleagues and in the absence of management take a leadership role.
If internal transfer, must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
