Job Description
Purpose of Position:
The Manager, Finance Systems will actively drive of our FP&A and Consolidation processes in conjunction with Finance, IT and Business leaders.
Reporting to the Sr Director, Finance Systems, the role will lead and partner with stakeholders in Financial Planning and Analytics and other Finance and technical organizations to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable plans. You’ll provide project management expertise and leadership to help drive projects to successful completion. You will also develop and implement standards and processes to assist FPAS in the successful implementation of initiatives and management of the overall portfolio.
Accountabilities:
- Execute detailed plans for the implementation of process and system improvement initiatives
- Assist FP&A and technical stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives
- Facilitate stakeholder management throughout the life cycle of initiatives
- Work with stakeholders in gathering definition of requirements and success criteria
- Coordinate testing with business users of functional requirements and collaborate with 3rd party application providers and/or IT to resolve discrepancies
- Assist with executing training sessions for stakeholder on the utilization of newly implemented processes and/or systems
- Assist with project intake, project portfolio management and governance
- Communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Train other users of the software, and produce the training materials as required
- Use of analytical techniques to provide support and insight to the FP&A team
- Support functional needs in using 3rd party systems
Minimum Skills Required:
- BS degree in Accounting/Finance, Computer Science or related field required
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience including large global publicly traded company experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and influencing skills to drive strategy and partnerships across the company
- Strong project management and data analysis skills and strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Advanced understanding of financial and business processes and the risks surrounding those processes, especially in FP&A
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Exceptionally organized and strong at execution, follow-up, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate in a matrix organization
- Must be a “self-starter” with a can-do attitude and execution mindset
- Working knowledge and experience using ERPs, FP&A and Consolidations software, SAP, Oracle, and Planful experience a plus
- Demonstrated ability to partner with key business groups to drive improvements in the processes and systems supporting the FP&A processes
- Proven track record of leading large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and driving organizational change
- Strong communicator able to translate technology to non-technical peers and managers and to make clear, effective recommendations for effective use of technology to improve the business
