Key Responsibilities:
Product Management and Product Launch
Serve as a subject matter expert in lead-acid battery application for the relevant product offerings and quickly become an expert in the product from a feature / function perspective. This includes but not limits to right product spec, property, production process and performance in battery
Capable to use project management skill to lead the development of identifying strategies that establish partnerships and business relationships to market/promote Company’s products and services, and support the development of new products
Manage and improve our core product portfolio where we have opportunities to re-position ourselves
Collaborate and lead with R&D and other functional teams to identify market trends and needs to develop and manage new product introduction pipeline, business case development, and product launch into our defined markets
Identify and lead training efforts to help new sales and technical service employees learn about features and characteristics of products in our portfolio of options
Design and execute impactful product research studies; drive to conclusions and actionable recommendations to optimize product offering in core market
Review and provide inputs on whether or not a request for a sample (SOR/NPDR) is in the best interest of the business based on business initiatives
Strategic Marketing Projects and Business Model and Pricing Guideline
Lead and/or participate strategic marketing projects so the voice of the customer is understood and the business is aligned to meet the needs
Identify market opportunities and build business cases
Understand and develop pricing models, with proven ability to develop value pricing strategies and monetize offerings
Build the business case and practice of the products to support regional roll-out plans
Develop and manage pricing guidelines and recommendations to the P&L leaders
Customer Relationship Management
Collaborate with Sales and Technical Service to develop and execute VOC plans
Translate customer needs into product requirements and/or user stories
Background and Qualifications:
Experience in the lead-acid battery industry
BA/BS in marketing, engineering or business, and an MBA a plus
7+ years of business experience in a product management or marketing role
Successful track record of taking product to market and product portfolio management
Demonstrated the ability to be technically savvy, forward-thinking leader with the ability to think strategically about the product category as well as take a hands-on approach in terms of execution
Experience in a business to business environment
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced highly matrix, results driven organization
Solid global business experience, including deep understanding of the customers
Ability to travel both domestic and international up to 30%.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
