Daikin North America is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Finance Manager position at our DTTP – Waller, TX location. The Finance Manager acts as financial advisor to the Senior Leadership including VPs by providing financial analysis, planning and budget control. Advises on profitability of organization and assets. Works with the Director of Finance to develop strategic and long-term financial goals and regulatory compliance of reporting. This role will manage one employee and drive process improvements throughout the manufacturing finance organization. About DTTP
Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin’s American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Responsibilities:
Other responsibilities may be included in addition to:
Preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
Manage accounting operations, including monthly and quarterly close processes, general ledger, fixed assets, contracts, and reconciliations of key accounts
Coordinate and direct the financial planning, standard cost setting, and budgeting of all or part of an organization
Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities
Monitor and evaluate the performance of finance staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals, and compliance with policies and protocols
Prepare daily metrics and reports as needed by management
Special Projects / Ad Hoc Analysis
Ensure high level of integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial book of record by ensuring all account reconciliations are maintained monthly
Support annual audit process and ensure schedules and work papers are updated
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills
Analytical ability including ability to interpret information and make sound recommendations
Effective organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize
High level of attention to detail and accuracy of work
Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability
Strong knowledge of computer-based accounting systems
Proficient with MS Office, in particular Excel (Access proficiency a plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must possess a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills to interact daily with internal and external employees as well as senior leaders and executive staff
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high transaction environment
Experience
5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting field, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing plant
Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA or master’s in accounting is a plus. CPA or CMA a plus.
