Job Summary
Possess the skills and experience necessary to support the Finance & Risk Control in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the organization’ s accounting and financial reporting practices. This position is a key role in finance but also the surrounding business. As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
- Oversee financial department employees, including AP and AR
- Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
- Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
- Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company
- Research and analyze financial reports and market trends
- Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
- Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
- Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
- Assist in preparing required information for annual credit facility renewal as well as for new loans
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Attributes
- Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years Finance/Accounting experience
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
- Adapt in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers via either telephone or email correspondence
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary performance
- Financial and statistical analysis experience and strong customer interfacing skills
- Proven problem-solving ability and successful conflict resolution
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
