An exciting opportunity to join CVS as a Technical Accountant Leader!Due to growth, we are building a new leadership role here at CVS. We are looking for someone to join our organization and do the following responsibilities: -Lead the coordination and preparation of various technical accounting memorandums documenting accounting matters and conclusions as they arise in the business-Assess and implement new authoritative accounting pronouncements, including the preparation of status summaries to be shared with the SVP Controller & Chief Accounting Officer and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors-Collaborate with various business segment functional leaders and teams to understand and document accounting issues as they arise-Determine the accounting and reporting of significant and unusual transactions as they arise-Responsible for the annual impairment testing of the Company’s goodwill and intangible assets and the related valuation work-Account for mergers and acquisitions, including the valuation of assets acquired and liabilities assumed, required disclosures, pro forma requirements & accounting policy harmonization-Coordinate the periodic review of the Company’s internal documentation with the Internal Audit group and external auditors in support of internal control assessment
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 100,000
Maximum: 221,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
-10+ years of demonstrated experience in an accounting position, with extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC Rules, Regulations and Filings-3+ years working with Executive Leadership presence to work with key partners from all parts of the business-3+ years leading a team-5+ years Certified Public Accountant is required
Preferred Qualifications
-Strong financial and technical accounting skills-Proven leadership skills to develop and lead the team-Insurance, Pharmacy Benefit Management and/or Retail industry experience preferred-Able to effectively employ both written and interpersonal skills in accomplishing the required tasks -Masters degree is preferred

-Bachelor’s degree required
