JOB SUMMARY:
This position works closely with the Owners to successfully carryout Cullen’s Home Center (CHC) Core Values and Vision. The successful candidate will communicate effectively to support the CHC Accounting Team’s ultimate mission to provide accurate and timely financial services.
Ideally we seek an applicant with at least ten years of accounting experience with a proven POS system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide financial services required to operate a successful home improvement business. Expectations include preparation of financial statements, maintenance of GL accounts, account reconciliation of balance sheet reporting, reconciliation of cash accounts and oversight of the month/year-end and AP/AR policies, just to name a few.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelors/Associates degree in Accounting and ten years of applied knowledge
2. Two years of supervisory experience.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. A strong attention to detail, while demonstrating accuracy. Ability to work independently, while being a self-starter, problem identifier and problem solver.
2. Ability to thrive while multi-tasking.
3. Strong verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills.
4. Must prioritize and continuously look for methods to improve workplace efficiency.
5. Skill in operating personal computer and Microsoft Office suite products.
