Job Responsibilities
The Project Manager, PMO is part of a dynamic corporate team of business improvement experts responsible for helping lead the organization through a cultural and transformational change focused on improvement. You will be in our corporate office and work closely with department leaders from across the organization to project manage large scale transformation initiatives focused on streamlining the organization, improve customer experience and overall business results. This position is ideally suited for someone who is looking for growth opportunities by proving their capability to quickly take on increased levels of responsibility within the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Execute day-to-day project management activities for one or more large scale national initiatives
Work with management to scope projects and manage work plans to ensure successful implementation
Handle all planning and coordination of implementation activities through very detailed project plans
Prepare regular communication status updates and presentation materials for senior management and staff on all aspects of the project; including timelines, accomplishments, key risks and issues
Coordinate and manage logistics around scheduling of vendor, governance & project team meetings
SOFTWARE AND SERVICE SUPPORT
Compile monthly statistics and analytics to management on all third-party service provider programs.
Serve as a subject matter expert on Client Accounting third-party service provider software and services.
Creating visualization diagrams and models to help team members organize projects. Visio or related software experience is highly desired.
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
Strong analytical skills to perform data collection and benchmarking against best practices
Support the design build of as-is and to-be process maps policies, procedure manuals and SLAs
Understands best practice design standards established and support adoption during implementations
Drive coordination of requirements between the business and IT to ensure alignment to business needs
Report on key metrics to provide visibility into productivity / adoption of new technology and processes
Coordinate effort to maximize productivity and successful achievement of department metrics and goals
INDUSTRY/FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of Finance or Mortgage industry is preferred
Experience interacting with or working through change management items with field operations personnel
Exposure to a company/industry in rapid transformation (people, process, technology, customer experience)
Ability to work in a fast pace environment with high level of independence and accountability for their work
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of business analyst interaction with business experts and developers
2+ years of program/project management experience, Six Sigma or PMP designation preferred
2+ years of process improvement experience in a transformational organization or fast changing industry
Very strong MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio and Project skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
Solid business acumen and communication skills with various levels of senior management
