Report directly to the CFO and supervise two direct accounting reports.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities of main company and four subsidiaries
Oversee financial operations of school system, including annual budget process, district compliance, and long-range planning and projects
Manage intercompany transactions, cash flow, grant reporting and compliance
Supervise and complete month- and year-end closings
Maintain payroll system, including coding, calculations, and maintenance of the general ledger
Ensure confidentiality of financial information, and make recommendations for the improvement of the efficiency and integrity of accounting processes
Preferred Qualifications for the Finance Manager role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience in a finance or accounting role with a non-profit, grant-funded institution, or educational institution
Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills
Advanced Excel user – pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s
Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership ability, and a desire to see projects all the way through
