This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during business hours. Evening work may be required as job duties demand.
Summary/Objective
The Vice President of Finance, in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for the financial management of CP Rochester and Happiness House as well as the Ability Partners affiliates.
Essential Functions
Imparts agency philosophy of “Equal Opportunity, Independence and Realization of Individual Potential” to children, families, program staff and community resources.
Maintains confidentiality of information relating to individuals and their families in accordance with agency policy.
Assists in preparation of the annual budgets with input from the agency program directors, vice presidents and Chief Operating Officer.
Maintains financial integrity of General Ledgers assuring proper accounting of financial data.
Assures the finance department staff effectively perform all financial functions of the agencies.
Assists the Chief Financial Officer with the financial management of all Ability Partners affiliates.
Manages and reviews preparation of monthly financial reports for distribution to agency directors, vice presidents, President and Board Members.
Coordinates reviews of financial reports with agency directors and vice presidents. Assists programs with monitoring their budget targets, revenue and expenses in order to maintain the financial viability of programs.
Attends Finance and Audit Committee meetings and assists in presentation of financial reports.
Prepares and/or supervises preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual cost reporting and budgeting for applicable funding sources.
Ensures reports to applicable funding sources and 990 returns are submitted by appropriate due dates for agencies.
Coordinates annual audit of agencies financial statements by independent accounting firm including presentation to the Board of Directors.
Assists in completion of grant applications.
Participates in Management/Directors meetings.
Participates in conferences, workshops and in-service training as needed or recommended to enhance job skills and personal growth and development.
Adheres to the agency’s policies and procedures as well as department guidelines.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, but employee may be expected to work at any of our partner agencies. One day a week is expected to be spent in office at the Happiness House – Geneva location. Some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
