*Position Summary: *
The primary responsibility of the Senior Corporate Accounting Manager is to ensure that corporate transactions and consolidations are properly reflected in the company’s general ledger on a timely basis in accordance with GAAP. The Senior Corporate Accounting manager also ensures that SOX controls and reporting requirements placed on a public company are properly executed. This role is specific to the Corporate Accounting Team, and will be responsible for Cash, Intercompany, Corporate and Benefits accounting.
*Position Responsibilities: *
* Facilitate the consolidated month end close process, including preparation of monthly close calendars and communication to all business partners on relevant close milestones and timelines.
* Support the corporate center owners during the close process.
* Review of monthly allocations and consolidation entries.
* Report monthly financial results to parent company.
* Monthly review of financial results and variance analysis as compared to plan, last year, year-end and prior quarter and resolution of all outstanding issues.
* Review of Balance Sheet consolidations, including adjusting and re-classifying entries.
* Development and maintenance of account analysis/reconciliation process. Ensures that all account analysis/reconciliation procedures comply with GAAP.
* Responsible for SOX compliance activities, including development and maintenance of a strong internal control environment.
* Support Quarterly reviews, Interim and Yearend audit test work conducted by our external auditors.
* Liaise with internal audit, informational technology, tax, finance, and other functions.
* Ad-hoc analysis requests from senior management as needed.
* Supervision and development of professional staff.
*Skills & Experiences: *

* Technical and comprehensive knowledge of all accounting functional areas
* Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SOX control requirements
* Intermediate knowledge of Excel
* Maintains high-quality accounting practices and a strong controls environment
* Strong process improvement and problem solving skills
* Excellent quantitative, reasoning, and analytical skills
* SAP software experience a plus
* Aptitude and willingness to learn new accounting systems

*Experience: *
* Minimum of 8-10 years of corporate accounting experience, with at least 3 years of managerial experience
* Medium to large-size company experience, preferably experience with a publicly-held company
* *Minimum educational level: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
* CPA preferred
