The FOH Beverage Manager reports to the FOH Hospitality Manager and works with peers and Front and Back of House staff to create epic guest experiences at our Copper & Kings Venues. This position is full time, approximately 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate should have a passion for classic cocktails, wine, beer and other hand crafted spirits. Able to work calmly under pressure, believe in impeccable customer service and have strong attention to detail. This is achieved through a relentless focus on delivering delicious and authentic brandy, food and cocktails while embodying the culture and hospitality expectations of Copper & Kings. The candidate should possess strong organizational skills and able to self manage their time between FOH service, administrative and product developmental aspects of this position.
Responsibilities
Represent and support the C&K Mission and Vision as Beverage Manager throughout week, to deliver a “5 Star” guest experience to every guest.
Develop and Progress an Overarching Mixology Philosophy for Copper & Kings across all venues, that compliments and ladders to a global CBI spirits On Premise Plan.
Primarily responsible for managing beverage operations at all locations as well as FOH operations in the restaurant.
Manage and develop the beverage team allowing them to work independently and efficiently that allows them to offer the best hospitality experience in the industry.
Attend and participate in weekly Hospitality Team meetings, informing out and supporting fellow team members where needed.
Overseeing drink menu development. Launching two new exciting beverage offerings each year, that reinforces our mission of sharing our love of brandy with our customers.
Monitoring consistency to make sure we are offering our guests the highest standards of food and beverage quality at all locations.
Growing the Copper & Kings Brand through our centers of excellence, utilizing local and national marketing events and PR opportunities to gain maximum brand exposure.
Controlling business expenses and being responsible for the P&L performance of our beverage operations, working to a F&B business model of 20% GOGS.
Managing labor budgets. Making sure we have the right personal in place that allows us to offer a world class customer visitor experience for every visiting guest.
Manage and support our hiring processes, practicing the development of our internal team while additionally utilizing the skills and experience of potential external candidates.
Managing monthly inventory controls and identify improvements that can be implemented. Understanding correct par levels to reduce excessive waste and preventing loss.
Implementing operational protocol’s that allow all venues to operate seamlessly.
Continue to build relationships with the production team in collaborative projects.
Working with our national sales team to build trade relations through education and epic experiences.
Support team through hiring, training and retaining top of class FOH staff.
Actively develop existing FOH staff through cultivating skillset, providing coaching, holding people accountable and delivering honest feedback.
Manage staff workgroup or workgroups to support Hospitality operations.
Execute delegated operational tasks as assigned by FOH Hospitality Manager efficiently and on time.
Work with peers and direct reports to execute annual evaluation/review process for all FOH employees.
Help plan and participate in all company employee trainings.
Actively participate in operational meetings, strategy sessions, etc. to push efficiencies in operations, customer satisfaction, new projects and brand development as appropriate.
Maintain open availability based on customer demands/business needs
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of guest facing floor management or lead role experience in a restaurant/bar environment.
Proven track record of exceeding guest expectations and leading a team.
Strong communication and team building skills.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and problem solve in the moment.
Demonstrated proficiency in effectively balancing the needs of guests, staff and the business.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of guest facing floor management in restaurant/bar environment.
Extensive FOH service experience, server/bartender, in similar business.
Proven track record of developing staff upward within an organization.
Experience implementing operational policies and procedures to achieve and exceed business metrics.
BarSmarts Advanced Certification or equivalent. (to be completed within six months of employment)
