Congruence Talent Solutions Hiring for Senior Manager of Finance Job at Saint Louis, MO Full Time

Our client, a non-for-profit organization in the Greater St. Louis area, is looking to add a Senior Manager of Finance to their team. The ideal candidate should have a background in a non-profit organization while also an ability to handle day-to-day accounting functions. This position is located in St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits: $55,000-$70,000, Health/Dental/Vision/403b

Responsibilities of a Senior Manager of Finance:

• Handle accounting for all incomes, donated items, services, expenditures, assets, and liabilities.
• Evaluate accounting data and consult with team to ensure transactions are recorded in accurate accounting treatment.
• Direct financial management policies and procedures in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• Track and oversee use of all contributed, purchased, and leased physical assets.
• Manage AP, AR, payroll, and general journal transactions into accounting software, with proper documentation for all transactions.
• Work closely with managers, HR, and other team members to ensure semi-monthly payroll is processed on time.
• Maintain legal items such as contract, leases, and service agreements.
• Generate accurate financial reports/statements (Balance Sheet, Statement of Activities, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP for non-profit organizations.
• Contribute to the development of annual operating and capital budgets, producing reports, financial projections, and analysis.
• Ensure compliance of state, local, and federal tax documents including 990, W-2s, and 1099s.
• Ensure that regulations for withholding and payment of payroll tax is in accordance with state, local, and federal tax regulations.
• Help with the annual audit, providing documentation to the CPA firm as needed.
• Interact with staff, outside vendors/suppliers, agencies, the public, and the community as needed.
• Work with executive leadership regularly to ensure financial functions are in accordance with plans.

Success Factors of a Senior Manager of Finance:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting department; preferably in a non-profit setting.
• Previous experience within a supervisory role is desired (Sr. Accounting, Manager, etc.)
• Knowledge of governing accounting principles including GAAP required.
• Ability to manage government grants and experience in cash management.
• Prior knowledge of software related to the position including QuickBooks Online, Excel, etc.
• Possess strong organizational, communication, multi-tasking and planning skills.
