About the Role
Confluent is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Finance Manager to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The ideal candidate for this role will have the experience to successfully partner with company leadership in order to effectively manage and guide financial spending and strategy for Confluent’s organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and experience driving business process improvement. In addition, they will have the ability and confidence to work cross functionally, understand and communicate complex concepts, bring business insights, drive change, and produce tangible results. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about their work, a fast learner, hardworking, organized, detail-oriented, and ready to make a big impact. This role will report to the Director, CSG Finance.
What You Will Do
Lead beyond budgeting and planning – be a thought leader and partner with the Customer Solutions Group (CSG) to drive top-line and expense strategic initiatives
Build a robust P&L reporting / forecasting / planning process to provide data-driven business insights and advice to stakeholders.
Develop, maintain and improve detailed financial models that track and analyze functional costs and their impact on the company’s overall performance
Partner with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate FP&A to perform month-end close activities and drive process improvements and efficiencies in close process
Prepare monthly, quarterly or ad hoc business review materials, along with providing executive-grade management reporting, analytical insights and recommendations
Support business partners with crucial financial metrics and key business analysis
What You Will Bring
5+ years of FP&A, Business Operations, Consulting, or Investment Banking experience; experience in tech services/software with a high growth, public company a plus
Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite skills; prior experience with Anaplan, NetSuite and SFDC a plus
Ability to work quickly and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail
High-motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership to their work and the desire to learn and grow
