Starting Pay: 150k – 200k base plus annual bonus and benefits

Job Summary
New York City’s Restaurant Associates’, a division of Compass Group, PLC, with its heritage steeped in culinary quality and innovative dining has crafter a Leadership role in our Finance department with oversight of our largest Divisions.
In this multifaceted leadership role, we seek a results oriented, strategic thought leader that possesses a desire to learn and effect the business, is a highly motivated professional, with a proven track record of establishing excellent working relationships with cross functional teams of professionals.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer; working closely with the Division President and Sales to improve growth, profitability and cash-flow. The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for the financial results and future direction of 2 Divisions, with revenue totaling over $600MM.

Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Act as financial advisor and business partner to the Chief Operating Officer, Restaurant Associates, providing strategic guidance and direction to drive the divisions’ long term financial goals and business plan.
Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to build, provide guidance on strategic plans, annual budgets/quarterly forecasts, and to identify risks and opportunities
Partner with Sales and Division President to provide deal modeling and valuation, solutions to win new business and retain current Customer base
Support sales process from proposal development to client presentations.
Analyze business unit results versus targets for both Compass financials and Customer expectations, highlighting potential issues and presenting key economic drivers to senior management, along with risk mitigation strategies
Review and analyze financial reporting to proactively confront potential issues.
Perform special projects as assigned such as industry benchmarking, ad hoc analysis, assist in prioritizing initiatives, generate economics for new products
Own and optimize business processes across the respective companies.
Develop and grow the Finance teams within each of the Divisions.
Coaching and development of the Operational team to generate continuous improvement in account profitability through raising financial awareness and financial competence of the operations team.
Prepare and deliver financial presentations for client meetings. Participate in client negotiations e.g., contractual discussions, AR disputes
Attend and present at divisional and regional meetings as needed.
Coordinate field management needs with corporate accounting, finance, treasury, IT and other departments as needed
Qualifications
Must hold a four-(4) year accounting/ finance degree
MBA / CPA preferable
Experience in Customer Finance
A minimum of 10 years’ experience with revenue control, financial reporting
At least 3 years in a similar finance leadership role
Experience in foodservice, hotel or retail industry a plus
Experience with Customer sales, presentations, deal valuation and analysis
Adept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes as well as analyzing moderately complex financial information
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Skilled at leading multiple priorities and relationships
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Expectation to progress to CFO level
