This position is responsible for highly complex analysis of agency and Comptroller Operations programs, requiring intensive and extensive review, as well as utilization and integration of data from a variety of sources such as SAP, Analytics for Office, or other 3rd party systems.
Analyzes business processes and develops effective metrics used to evaluate performance. Oversees the implementation of new tracking systems to gather relevant performance management data. A primary goal is to improve the visibility of data and provide actionable results. Accountable for the gathering of documentation to support critical success factors and key dependencies of the performance metrics.
Works with business users/owners to identify process deficiencies to streamline or mitigate risks. Conducts review and analysis to identify potential corrective action and process improvement efforts and initiatives. Monitors the development and implementation of improved business processes and system changes.
Develops project plans, scope, and schedule for assigned activities.
Acts as project manager, communicating project status on a regular basis with customers and stakeholders. Displays effective communication in problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution as needed during assigned project’s effort.
Utilizes information technologies and systems to automate continuous transaction monitoring. Tools used to accomplish analysis include statistical and financial modeling software tools to conduct detailed data analysis, i.e., ACL, Microsoft Access database development, advanced Microsoft Excel, and Power BI (Using lookups, creating macros, and troubleshooting processes).
Prepares and reviews correspondence, reports, and other related material.
Organizes activities to ensure that assigned tasks are achieved in an efficient and effective manner.
