Job Summary
As the Director of Finance, you will lead an innovative and collaborative finance team responsible for informed financial planning and reporting of Xumo’s growing advertising business, customer care and revenue share operations for Xumo’s platform and content partners, and standard monthly Accounting practices. Additional responsibilities include conducting special projects, typically involving financial analysis and research of business risks and opportunities in order to provide top management with financial insights and business advice to support decisions and objectives for growth and profitability. The ideal candidate for this job would have the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and manage in a highly matrixed environment, ensuring an environment of financial integrity and operational excellence, while leading day-to-day responsibilities of frontline financial professionals. Xumo, a joint venture between Comcast and Charter, was formed to develop and offer a next-generation streaming platform on a variety of branded 4K streaming devices and smart TVs. Powered by Comcast’s global technology platform, Xumo devices and services feature an entertainment experience designed to make it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content through a world-class user interface and voice search, and for partners to meaningfully connect and engage with millions of consumers.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Manages the business planning and reporting cycles for Xumo Advertising by directing the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans.
Directs the preparation and review of monthly operating financial statements, monthly variance analysis, external financial statements.
Reviews financial statements to ensure accuracy and integrity. Explains related variances to plan and forecast.
Manages customer care and revenue share calculations and payment for Xumo’s platform and content partners. ? Collaborate with Xumo’s Content team on financial planning and margin/performance analysis. ?
Manages month-close processes and estimates in partnership with Comcast’s Accounting departments. ?
Analyzes all aspects of financial performance and provides recommendations for improvement.
Ensures that all Finance department policies and procedures are implemented and monitors for adherence.
Provides motivation, direction and leadership for Finance team and adheres to the policies and standards of the Company.
Performs additional Business Operations duties and tasks as, required.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Bachelor’s Degree
