Due to company growth and internal promotions, CCI has an exciting opportunity in our accounting department. We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background, with a focus in accounts receivable and collections.
Summary
The Staff Accountant performs general accounting duties in accordance with prescribed procedures and accounting practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. All aspects of Accounts Receivable: Customer Invoicing, Customer Deposits, Collections, Credit Checks and Credit Reference inquiries, Responding to customer inquiries and needs, and other aspects of AR
2. Sales, customer, inventory, and other related reporting and analysis
3. GL Reconciliations, assets, banking, and other related reconciliations
4. Asset tracking, depreciation, and reconciliation
5. Calculate, compile, report, generate tax related payments, and reconcile related GL accounts; sales and use, excise, and other taxes
6. Inventory tracking, adjustments, analysis, and reporting
7. Perform month end and year end closing activities
8. Assist with various accounting related functions such as financial reporting, analysis, budgeting process, and other functions as assigned
9. Compile data and documents necessary for review by auditors, examiners, and other parties
10. Recommend improvements in methods and procedures; create and/or update procedures
11. Back up duties within the accounting department, as well as cross-department training
12. File and maintain clerical records and reports
13. Comply with all quality, safety and sanitation regulations
14. Other duties as assigned

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, with a high level of working knowledge and skill in Excel
General knowledge of GAAP
Understanding of business cycles and inventory/product flows in computerized systems (ERP and MRP related experience will be helpful)
Ability to perform research and data analysis
Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong time management skills; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Maintain confidentiality and discretion on all aspects of the business
Education and/or Experience
4 Year Bachelor Degree with 2 years (or more) relevant experience.
