The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks anAccountant I to assist with maintaining an automated accounts payable system, and processes disbursements from vendor invoices and employee reimbursement requests. This position is located at 2111 Champa Street, Denver, CO 80205 and reports to the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting.

Essential Job Functions

1. Manages incoming invoices and requests by mail, fax, e-mail or interoffice mail.
2. Processes vendor invoices and statements into the accounts payable system.
3. Processes daily “emergency check run”.
4. Processes employee reimbursements weekly.
5. Tracks credit card users and use.
6. Reconciles credit card statements.
7. Acts as back-up for other accounts payable positions.
8. Maintains current and complete COVID-19 vaccination(s), as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health authorities.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment, or equivalent required.
